Starting Fresh

Today is March 1.

It’s a new month, a new website, a new chance to interact with other church communicators.

At the beginning of the month, I will share a list of special holidays and potential ways to share these sometimes funny, sometimes serious holidays with your social media audiance. It’s a way to generate social media content, especially for times when content is hard to come by or you need to schedule posts in advance.

Use these national days to help prompt your posts. There are plenty of ways to use these days to enhance your posts. Here are a few of my tips.

  • Don’t use a national holiday post every single day. It will cause fatigue and may drive people to “snooze or mute you on social media.
  • Don’t forget to use graphics to make your posts stand out
  • Do tag businesses, cities and organizations if you mention them in your posts.
  • Do use these topics to create fun posts.
